Movement & Sensory Intervention

What is this?

We use movement- and sensory-based games, exercises, and resources to support young people from the body upward, helping them understand and manage their sensory and emotional experiences.

The sensory integration package:
Supports the eight senses through games and exercises to help young people who are under- or overstimulated notice and manage their sensory experiences.

The regulation skills package:
Teaches what dysregulation is, how to recognise it, and how to use a personalised sensory “first-aid” toolkit. Builds self-awareness and self-advocacy.

The co-regulation package:
Provides a safe, attuned, trauma-informed space using movement, stories and sensory techniques to support nervous system regulation and healthy relational experiences.

Who is it for?

Young people (2–16) who have experienced trauma or ACEs, are neurodivergent or have SEND, are easily overwhelmed or withdrawn, mask their needs, or struggle with interoception, motor skills or impulse control.

What is the package we are offering?

1:1 or small groups (up to 3); Indoors, outdoors, or both
45-minute sessions at our centre in Berry Pomeroy. All packages can be adapted or combined. Movement support for motor skills, impulse control and spatial awareness can be included as needed.

Why this approach?

Regulation begins in the body. Sensory integration and a felt sense of safety are key foundations for learning, attention and behaviour.

Who will be delivering this?

Eliza Reid-Perks, an experienced, trauma-informed Creative Interventions Practitioner trained in movement, bodywork and relational approaches, offering a warm, safe and creative space for young people to grow.
