Individual Counselling for Young People
What is this?
This is short term therapy, focused on doing a particular piece of work with a young person. Bringing a bespoke integration of therapeutic skills employed pluralistically; engaging with young people in a collaborative and individually formulated manner working towards agreed goals.
Who is it for?
Individually, therapy will be with children from around age 12 – this also depends on the ability of the child to access the therapy. Applications for this short-term therapy will be considered on an individual basis, to ensure that it is a suitable intervention.
What is the package we are offering?
A package of 50-minute sessions of individual counselling, working towards agreed goals. Longer term counselling packages are also available. This can take place at your setting or on our site.
Who will be delivering this?
Julie Lowenthal
is an Integrative Counsellor and Systemic Practitioner who works with parents, young people and families. She is an experienced adult and secondary school counsellor known for her warm, compassionate and effective approach.
Julie brings a child-focused lens to all her work and draws on a broad therapeutic toolkit, informed by her BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling, additional Systemic Practitioner training, and her developing nature-based practice.
Working in a trauma-informed way, Julie incorporates the PACE approach and uses creative, flexible methods tailored to each individual. She supports people of all ages to problem-solve, grow and build resilience.
She has built strong, sustained relationships with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, heritages, gender identities, neurodivergent profiles and other Protected Characteristics.
